Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center Cape Disappointment

Washington’s 120 state parks and other recreation areas offer opportunities for enjoyment and learning. Take a break for camping, hiking, biking, boating, windsurfing or rock climbing. In winter, venture out for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Explore the state on long-distance land and water trails. Learn about the state’s rich natural, cultural and historical treasures by visiting interpretive centers and special historic places.

Making Reservations at Washington’s State Parks
Washington State Parks and Tacoma Power have joined cooperatively to provide one-stop reservation service. This reservation service allows you to reserve a campsite, yurt or cabin in more than 44 Washington State Parks and 4 Tacoma Power Parks. For park and reservation information, go to: www.parks.wa.gov.

Regular Camping and Boating Fees
While the following regular fees apply throughout the state, facilities and amenities vary from park to park.

Please note that the following general fee information is not customized for each individual park, so not all fees will apply to all parks (for example, primitive campsite and dump station fees listed apply only to parks that have primitive campsites and dump stations).

Basic camping fees are:
2009 Fees
Standard campsite $19 - $24*
A designated campsite served by nearby domestic water, sink waste, garbage disposal and flush comfort station.

Utility campsite $25 - $33*
A standard campsite with the addition of electricity. May have domestic water and/or sewer.

Primitive campsite $12 - $14
Campsite does not include a nearby flush comfort station. Primitive campsites may not have any amenities of a standard campsite. Sites accessible by motorized/non-motorized vehicles and water trail camping.

Higher prices include an additional fee for popular destination parks and select premium campsites.

Extra overnight vehicle fee $10
Campsite fees include parking for one vehicle at the site. Additional vehicles parked at the campsite must be registered at check-in, and campers must pay $10 per extra vehicle per night.

Note: Maximum eight people per campsite.

Unattended vehicle overnight parking $10

Shower fee: 50 cents for a three-minute shower

Central Reservation System – non-refundable reservation fee:
$6.50 for reservations made online.
$8.50 for reservations made by calling (888) CAMPOUT or (888) 226-7688.
The reservation fee does not cover changes to or canceling a reservation. Group facilities and vacation houses on the central reservation system may only be reserved by calling (888) CAMPOUT or (888) 226-7688.

Central Reservation System change and cancellation fee:
$8.50 for changes/cancellations made online.
$10.50 for changes/cancellations made by calling (888) CAMPOUT or (888) 226-7688.
You may change or cancel a reservation online, even if you made the reservation via telephone. Exception: Vacation house, group camp and group day use facility reservations may only be changed or canceled by calling (888 ) CAMPOUT or (888) 226-7688. Higher fees may apply if reservation is changed or canceled near arrival date. Please review details in our reservation policies.

$25 (non-refundable)
Facility fees based on $2.25 per person per night

Group day use
Facility fees based on $1.13 per person per day
