Snohomish County is located just minutes north of Seattle. Nestled between the sparkling waters of Puget Sound and the snow-capped peaks of the Cascade Mountains, it has some of the most beautiful scenery in Washington State. The populated part of Snohomish County boasts a temperate climate year-round, with an average precipitation of about 35 inches. It has an average high temperature in the mid-70s in midsummer and average lows just above freezing in January. The state’s 3rd largest county, Snohomish County is growing at the rate of 2.5% annually, the fastest rate in the state. It hosts the Boeing Tour Center, where you will see the assembly one of the world’s largest aircraft, the Boeing 747. The county is well known for its miles of shoreline, peaceful lakes and streams, and natural scenic beauty. The hub city of Everett has an abundance of transportation resources to facilitate the movement of people and goods. The action seeker will find a host of indoor attractions and activities including concerts, festivals, dance and theatre and the arts and outdoor activities including bicycling, hiking, backpacking, mountain climbing, boating, kayaking and skiing. The business community is an explosion of growth anchored by Boeing and the high-tech corridor and the Port of Everett with it billions of dollars of annual trade, to the many retail establishments including the Alderwood and Everett Malls. The Tulalip Indian Tribe operates one of the most successful Indian enterprises in the nation with a luxury hotel, gaming facilities and luxury store factory outlet mall. The two largest school districts in the county, Everett and Mukilteo, serve over 32,000 children in 56 schools. Edmonds and Everett Community Colleges provide foundational higher education and the innovative University Center at Everett Station, a consortium of 5 state universities provides a new higher education alternative. Snohomish County has a huge land base allowing the range of activities associated with industrial uses such as manufacturing, warehouses, assembly, fabrication and offices.
